Sam Cureton, a seasoned hospitality veteran with nearly two decades of self-employment at Weston-super-Mare’s The Brit Bar, transformed his entrepreneurial spirit into Fat Head Brewery in 2023. Driven by a long-held passion for crafting exceptional beers, Sam established a brewery and taproom in his hometown, aiming to become a leading force in the local and regional craft beer scene.

A turning point for Fat Head Brewery came when Sam acquired new brewing equipment through the Town Occupancy Grant Programme. The grant funding, provided by the UKSPF was accessed via North Somerset Council and Business West. This funding has significantly contributed to the brewery’s expansion plans. the hive was delighted to help with this process.
By combining Sam’s industry expertise with the hive‘s support, Fat Head Brewery has quickly established itself as a cornerstone of Weston-super-Mare’s burgeoning craft beer scene.
